'The Vampire Diaries' season 5: Finale will be explosive

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 will soon be coming to an end. Even though there are a few more episodes left, a few promotional photos for the episode have been released. On April 24, TV Fanatic posted the photos for the final episode of the season, titled "Home."
The first photo shows Elena looking shocked at was she is seeing. From her posture, it seems that she could be looking at something on the floor in front of her and she appears to be jumping back a bit from the position of her arms. Another photo shows Elena and Caroline sitting by the fireplace and Stefan is standing with his back to the camera. Whatever they are discussing must be serious based on the looks on their faces. Then another photo shows the two girls talking, except Stefan isn't present and the girls are outdoors.
There are also some shots of Damon and Elena. In one, he is telling her something, but her reaction isn't seen because her back is to the camera. In another, Damon has his hand touching Elena's chin. He almost seems to be comforting her or letting her know that it's going to be okay.
Other photos for "The Vampire Diaries" season 5, episode 22 show Caroline standing outside with a serious and troubled look on her face. The scenery looks the same as the photo of her talking to Elena. What could be on her mind? Also, Tyler is in chains, but another photo shows him without them. Only this time he is screaming in agony, being held back by two people. Several feet away are the sheriff and a man. He looks filled with grief... could someone he cares about die on the season finale?
Finally, there is a photo of Damon sitting on the hood of his car. He is parked at the border of Mystic Falls, in front of the welcome sign. He is holding something, which appears to be a bottle of alcohol, but it's hard to tell for sure. There are also a few photos of Bonnie. In one she is in the woods and the other she is with Damon, both photographs have her with a serious look on her face.
WetPaint posted a few spoilers for "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale. According to the website, executive producer Julie Plec said that the finale two episodes will have a lot of suffering, but will also have celebration. She also revealed that a lot of lives are in danger because of Markos' plan. However, it seems that Damon might end up saving the day because he has to "strap on his hero hair."
Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan on the show, told TV Guide something interesting. His statement seems to imply that when "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 airs that the characters might not only have different circumstances, but there might be a new location. He said,
"[The finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in Season 6. They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."
What do you think is going to happen on "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale? Will Damon end up being a hero? Will the characters be forced to move somewhere new? Fans will have to wait until the episode titled "Home" airs on May 15 to find out.

The Vampire Diaries spoilers: Stefan & Elena heating up on Resident Evil?

‘Resident Evil’ APRIL 17TH

Is anyone else feeling the distinct lack of mystic-goodness this week? Don’t you fret! We have some spoilers to tide you over until our next visit to Mystic Falls. Here are six things to look forward to when The Vampire Diaries returns on April 17th with ‘Resident Evil’
BE WARNED: SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT DO NOT CROSS IF YOU WISH TO REMAIN UNSPOILED.

Stelena.
Let’s be real, Delena have been on the rocks for a little while now, and after Katherine’s pursuit of Stefan it was only a matter of time before this couple made their triumphant return. At PaleyFest Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan, teased the “nostalgic” return of the pair, calling the scenes “reminiscent of season one”. Don’t get too excited yet Stelena shippers – it’s not reality. Stefan and Elena are having unsettling dreams of an alternate version of the life they might have had together; think happy home, lots of kids and lots of sex. Why? We are not yet sure, but one of the main theories suggests this is the result of Traveller magic. Guess we will have to wait and see.
The new resident evil.
That’s right, there’s a new big bad in town and his name is Markos. The Travellers have mentioned Markos so far as their leader, and the end of last week’s episode ‘Rescue Me’ saw his arrival in Mystic Falls. Next time we will see Luke revealing all he knows about the warlock to Damon, Elena and Enzo, before Damon faces him and is “both relieved and disturbed” by what Markos has to say. Markos seems to be an intriguing one, with Paul Wesley describing him as an “atypical villain”, and I can’t wait to meet him!
Problems on the Other Side.
There’s trouble brewing, and Bonnie’s Grams makes a guest return to warn her about it. No one is as aware of it as poor Matty-blue-eyes however, who has a terrifying encounter with the inhabitants of the Other Side. Also this week, Matt, Jeremy and Tyler are teaming up with Liv against the Travellers, which may be how Matt ends up facing dead supernatural beings.
Enzo has a purpose.
None of us were really buying ‘I want my killing buddy back’ as Enzo’s sole reason for sticking around and helping out in Mystic Falls, and we are about to find out why he’s really here! Like a true romantic, Enzo is searching for a woman he loved decades before while the Augustines imprisoned him. He has briefly mentioned his love interest, Maggie, before, but it looks like his search is about to really get going.
Trouble in paradise.
Will any relationship ever last on this show? Bonnie is getting increasingly upset by Jeremy this week, especially when she finds out he is working with Liv behind her back. Ouch.
Paul Wesley’s directorial debut.
Stefan headed behind to ‘the other side’ of the camera for the upcoming episode (see what I did there), and took his place in the director’s chair. Wesley himself called the experience “amazing”, so it’s definitely something not to be missed by The Vampire Diaries’ fans!
Looks like a packed episode – make sure you don’t miss The Vampire Diaries when it returns to the CW on Thursday April 17th!

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: The Season 5 Finale Will Be "Emotional"

At it’s best, The Vampire Diaries is heart-wrenching, compelling, and unpredictable — and it sounds like we might be in for its best in the Season 5 finale. What did executive producer Caroline Dries tell Zap2it about the season ender?
"The finale will be emotional," Caroline teased. "We'll get to see a lot of our favorite friends from the past possibly pop in. Basically, every place on the show where s—t can possibly go wrong, it goes wrong. Just when you think, oh it can't get worse than that, it does."
There’s a lot of unpack in that spoiler. First of all, we’re beyond excited that we’ll be getting to hang with some of our “favorite friends.” Here’s to hoping Alaric makes an appearance because we already know Kol will be popping around. As for the hint that everything that can go wrong, will, we’re now worried about our “favorite friends.” Why? Because executive producer Julie Plec teased: "There are going to be a lot of goodbyes as we realize The Other Side is disintegrating and not everybody is going to survive that. We're going to have to say goodbye to some characters that we've grown to love over the years."
Like, goodbye for real! No more hanging out with the characters who have passed on on special occasions. No more knowing that there is a chance these characters could come back for-real someday. Only cold, finite death. You know, the old-fashioned kind that happens on non-genre shows. We’re not sure if we’re prepared for this. Caroline is right about one thing: if we’re losing our long-time TV chums forever, the finale will be emotional. Ugly-crying emotional.

Co-Star Couples Who Broke Up But Stayed Together... On the Set

Couples break up every day, and while it’s certainly always sad, most don’t have to suffer through the trauma of seeing each other at work.
However, in the world of Hollywood, co-star couples are about as common as Kanye West beating up a paparazzo. So, when these duos decide to go their separate ways, they not only have to work together, but they’re often forced to continue to act like a couple on-screen!

Much like Vampire Diaries co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, there’s a shocking number of exes who have managed to maintain a healthy working relationship, and in some cases, a  strong friendships as well!

Ian Somerhalder: I "Love This Bromance" — And It's Not Paul Wesley!

The Vampire Diaries may be known for its central love triangle, but we love the bromances just as much — and it turns out we’re not the only ones. Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) took to Twitter to share his affection for one bromance in particular, and it’s not his bromance with Paul Wesley(Stefan Salvatore). Who is it?!“#throwbackthursdays #DENZO me & @mkmalarkey aka Enzo and Damon hanging. Late night jam session with wine and guitars. Love this Bromance... On and off screen,” Ian captioned a photo of he and Michael Malarkey (Enzo) looking ridiculous together. This tweet pretty much melted our hearts.
These two have been adorable together since Enzo was first introduced in Season 5, Episode 9. Even at the beginning of their bromance, Ian knew it would be something special, tweeting: “Damon + Enzo = Denzo in the HOUSE! On the Vampire Diaries set shooting great scenes with my new bro & Damon Salvatore's Partner in crime @mkmalarkey aka Michael Malarkey/Enzo Awwwww how sweet.” Agreed. Even if Damon literally leaves Enzo to die in a fire. Once murder buddies, always murder buddies!
Of course, we don’t think the Denzo bromance in any way diminishes the bromance Ian has going with co-star Paul. These two have been together since the beginning, and we have a collection of bromantic photo moments that put to bed any doubts that these two are total bros. These two actors are known to sing along to one-hit wonders together and Ian has even stroked Paul’s hair before. Besides, Ian has enough room in his big heart for two bromances, right?

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Stefan Will Always Have Feelings For Elena

It’s been a rough season for Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the love department on The Vampire Diaries. He had to watch the former love of his life, Elena (Nina Dobrev), find happiness with his brother. Then, fend off the advances of Katherine-as-Elena, despite still having feelings for Elena. Now, Elena is back in control of her body and having tons of breakup sex with Damon. How does this affect Stefan’s feelings for Elena?
Answer: it doesn’t. According to Paul, Stefan will always have feelings for Elena: “There are always residual feelings with anyone that you’re ever with romantically,” Paul told TVLine. Subtext: love triangles are the strongest shape.
This insight is particularly interesting given that Stefan’s feelings are about to get tested as Stelena starts having dream-visions of their would-be life together — complete with kids and kitchen sex. As we can see in this promo for Season 5, Episode 18 (“Resident Evil”), this visions are shared and its making everyone (except Enzo) really awkward.
But, before you write off this visions as a manifestation of the doppelgangers’ hidden desires for one another, know that they seem to be caused by Markos — aka the Traveler leader. In this promo for Season 5, we hear him say: “I’m the reason Stefan and Elena are being drawn together.” Why does Markos want the doppelgangers together? And what truth is there in the prophecy that they will always end up together? Is this where Stefan’s feelings for Elena come from, or are they a result of his own free will? Hopefully, the next few episodes of TVD will shed some light on the doppelganger prophecy’s relation to our favorite love triangle.
