See Nina Dobrev and Boyfriend Austin Stowell Make Their Red Carpet Debut as a Couple

This red-hot couple just made things official.

Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell walked their first carpet together Sunday at the premiere of his movie Bridge of Spies at New York's Lincoln Center, looking sleek and chic in coordinating black ensembles and a bold red lip for the Vampire Diaries vet.

Dobrev, 26, and Stowell, 30, were first linked in June, when they got cozy during a comedy show in Hollywood. They jetted off to Saint-Tropez for a PDA-filled vacation the next month, and Stowell was Dobrev's date at her former costar Kayla Ewell's September wedding.

Although Stowell attended a screening for Dobrev's slasher comedy The Final Girls in June, the Bridge of Spies premiere marked the pair's first time posing together for cameras at a public event.
On Thursday, The Vampire Diaries season 7 premieres – the first one without leading lady Dobrev.

"There are so many different things that could happen," she told PEOPLE after announcing her departure from the supernatural CW show. "I'm just going to see where the universe takes me."

Bridge of Spies hits theaters Oct. 16.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star Paul Wesley Claims Nina Dobrev’s Character Is Still ‘A Very Big Part’ Of The Show

Even if Nina Dobrev already made the decision to leave The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley recently claimed that her character would still have a pivotal part in the series. As the CW show prepares for its seventh season, Stefan and Damon will realize that Elena’s body is in danger.
Paul told TV Insider that he initially thought The Vampire Diaries would have a reboot following Nina’s departure. His impression, however, was wrong.

“Elena’s still a very big part of the story. Her body’s in danger in the first few episodes, and Damon is doing everything he can to make sure it stays safe if and when she wakes up. We all had imagined this complete reboot where Elena was gone, but she’s talked about so much!”
In the penultimate episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 6, Kai cursed Elena to remain in slumber as long as Bonnie’s alive. In an attempt to keep her body safe inside the Salvatore’s crypt, Bonnie did a cloaking spell.
It appears that new villains in Mystic Falls are trying to put Elena in danger. Will Stefan and Damon be able to come up with a way to protect Elena’s casket?

Shielding Elena’s body is not Stefan’s sole concern because in the upcoming season of The Vampire Diaries, he will likewise pursue Caroline harder. The new season is expected to feature more romantic scenes between the two.
Journalist and actor Michael Ausiello was asked through TVLine by a fan about Stefan’s plan. According to Michael, the younger Salvatore will continue to be the “same loving guy he’s been for the past six seasons.” He added that Stefan will most likely use the “same tactics he did on Elena back in Season 1.”
Michael said that things wouldn’t be easy for the pair because Caroline is still dealing with the loss of her mother.
“Caroline wants to be with Stefan, but she’s also trying to do the right thing by herself, taking the time to mourn her mother’s death so she can enter into this relationship with a clean state and a free mind. The heart wants what it wants when it wants it, so we’ll see moments where’s she’s struggling, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.”
Fans are wondering if the upcoming Vampire Diaries Season 7 will surprise viewers by introducing a “Steroline” baby. After all, Candice Accola-King is currently pregnant. She once joked that Stefan and Caroline would handle parenthood well because their “vamp speed” would help them change diapers quickly.

Meanwhile, Nina already bagged her first film project following her decision to leave The Vampire Diaries. The Canadian beauty will appear in Arrivals, a movie that follows the life of a Cape Town baggage claim handler who fell in love with Nina’s character, a flight attendant. Nina’s love interest will be played by Asa Butterfield. Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will also join the cast.
Despite leaving the show, she told Entertainment Weekly that her support for her former cast mates would remain the same. “I can’t wait to see what the new season will look like. I’ll be watching. I’m very excited for my friends,” she gushed.
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 premieres on October 8 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

Ian Somerhalder: Raise your voices!

Ian Somerhalder has invited young people to be vocal about climate change and American gun violence.
(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ian Somerhalder has encouraged youth to “raise voices” on climate change and gun violence.
The 36-year-old The Vampire Diaries star has been involved in activism for years.
And during a live Facebook video he created on Friday 2 October (15), Ian urged his fans to take action on environmental welfare and firearm violence.
“I don’t know if anyone [else] is so sick and tired of schools being bombarded with bullets and guns,” he noted. “There’s no need to make our educational institutions dangerous places. This stops right now, today. Raise your voices.”
Ian made the motivating statement in light of a mass shooting that took place in Oregon this week. A 20-year-old male reportedly entered Umpqua Community College and began shooting at staff and students, leaving 13 dead and an estimated 20 others injured.
In December 2010 the actor launched his charity the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, an organisation that “aims to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures”.
Ian is a native of Louisiana and the devastation left by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico opened his eyes to the need for philanthropy.
“I hit my absolute apex of vulnerability when I returned to my home state of Louisiana during the gulf oil spill disaster and witnessed mass devastation to every demonstration of life surrounding me—from grass, trees, bayous, insects, to animals and people,” he recalled to The Mash in 2014. “Overcome with a raw true sense of helplessness, I knew I never wanted to feel this way again. As I surveyed the echoing voices around me, I realised there were countless others who were just as impassioned and were ready to make some serious changes. We united as a family of international change-makers that soon were known as the IS Foundation.”

Ian Somerhalder-Nikki Reed divorce: Nina Dobrev, baby plans hurting 'The Vampire Diaries' star's marriage?

"The Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed are reportedly on the verge of getting a divorce.
According to a new Celeb Dirty Laundry report, the couple has been constantly fighting, and their pals now believe rushing into marriage was a bad idea.
Somerhalder and Reed got married after less than a year of dating, and it looks like the pair isn't on the same page when it comes to starting a family.
"Ian is 9 years older than his new bride, and pushing 40 years old – it's no wonder that he is eager to settle down. But, he and Nikki probably should have discussed their plans for the future before their wedding earlier this year," Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.
It remains to be seen if there is any truth to these claims, but Somerhalder's desire to have babies is well-recorded. However, Reed has been putting off making baby plans because she wants to focus on her career.
"They're arguing a lot. Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now," an OK! Magazine insider said, according to CDL, adding that Reed has expressed a desire to focus on work and travel before making baby plans.
Rumours have also been swirling around of Reed's insecurity regarding Somerhalder's alleged closeness to his former lover, Nina Dobrev, whom he dated for about three years before calling it quits in 2013. Reed has been allegedly pushing her husband to leave "The Vampire Diaries" so that his name would no longer be linked to Dobrev's.
Ironically, one of the reasons for the Dobrev-Somerhalder split was the actor's desire to start a family. But Dobrev did not want to settle down. "Ian was starting to talk marriage while Nina's just getting started on her career," an insider told In Touch magazine in 2013. "Nina still loves him but isn't ready to make that huge commitment. She's just too young for Ian."

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed Divorce: ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Actress Wants to Focus on Career; Somerhalder Regrets Marriage?

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are allegedly headed for divorce just months after they tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony. According to a new report, "The Vampire Diaries" actor is keen on starting a family of their own, but Reed is focused on her career. Is Somerhalder regretting their marriage?
Is there already trouble in paradise for newlywed couple, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder? Various reports have been coming out about Reed and Somerhalder since they tied the knot in April. Some reports claimed that the newlywed couple is fighting over Somerhalder's ex girlfriend, Nina Dobrev. However, this recent report claims that the problem lies between the two.
According to a report from OK! Magazine (via Celeb Dirty Laundry), Somerhalder and Reed have been fighting nonstop about their baby plans. The 36-year-old actor is allegedly keen on starting his own family with Reed. His 27-year-old wife, however, refuses to get pregnant as of the moment since she has just recently landed a role in the series, "Sleepy Hollow."
"They're arguing a lot. Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now," a source told the outlet.
The outlet noted that Somerhalder has been vocal about his desire to have a honeymoon baby with Reed. The two stars have allegedly discussed about their baby plans during their honeymoon in Rio. These baby plans were also allegedly the reason for Dobrev and Somerhalder's breakup.
While Somerhalder and Reed have yet to comment on the issue on whether or not they are headed for a divorce, Reed recently made her debut on the small screens. Reed landed the role of Betsy Ross in the series, "Sleepy Hollow," Just Jared reported.
The actress entered the series in its third season and recently shared details about the upcoming season of the series with SiriusXM in New York.
Is Nikki Reed right about focusing on her career? Or should she and Ian Somerhalder compromise and make things work before calling it quits?
