Julie Plec calmed down the fans by confirming that Damon and Elena will indeed have a real relationship and will work hard to make it work, but (there’s always a but) their relationship will be affected by the “villain in their midst they don’t know is a villain at the beginning.”
Hmmm, villain fooling everyone by pretending be good? It sounds like she is talking about Silas acting like Stefan! But, what does that mean? Will he affect their relationship before they find out his real identity? Does this mean that Elena still has doubts when the Salvatores are in question? Or is it just that evil Silas will be keeping our love birds so busy they won’t have time for romance?
