Months after their reported split, The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder could reunite once again for the Teen Choice Awards.
Having already come together at the CW Upfronts event in New York earlier this year where the couple who have stayed quiet on whether or not they have called time on their relationship, were reportedly civil with each other.
The speculation over whether Nina and Ian will meet at the Teen Choice awards comes after both were nominated for awards, including nominations for The Vampire Diaries where he plays Damon Salvatore and Nina plays Elena.
However, according to Wetpaint.com, Nina and Ian won't be alone on the red carpet as their co-star Kat Graham also looks set to attend.
Meanwhile, whilst Nina may have escaped to sunnier climbs for a holiday, it appears Ian has been busy at work, filming for The Anomaly.
However, it appears that it hasn't been the case of 'all work and no play' for the Vampire Diaries actor as the hot star tweeted about "hugging it out" with his The Anomaly co-star.
But before fans get themselves all in a tizz, the star was joking around with British actor Noel Clarke.
Posting an image of himself holding a card which reads: "Soy happy together" with Noel, Ian tweeted the caption:
"Soy happy together... Me and @noelclarke hugging it out on the set of The Anomaly."
Meanwhile, whilst the pair might not be filming TVD at the moment, the show's co-creator Julie Plec has teased that Nina and Ian's characters will "try to make it work" in spoilers for the upcoming fifth series
According to TV Guide, Julie explained that Damon's and Elena will "try" to make their relationship "work". However, it won't be a walk in the park for the couple as there's a "villain in the midst they don't know is a villain at the beginning."
