Lets face it, following a celebrity break up there are constant sources coming forward telling the press about the couple, whether or not they hate each other, secret fights, and much more gossip.
However "The Vampire Diaries" co-stars manage to avoid all the controversy and Celeb Dirty Laundry knows just how they do it.
The internet gossip site reported that sources have claimed that the lack of post-breakup drama surrounding the former couple is because both Nina and Ian are trying to avoid a confrontation.
The exchange of a few nasty words can turn into an ugly fight and would make things even more awkward and uncomfortable for all parties involved. Especially considering that that the two are currently on a show together and now have to pretend to be in love
The show's executive producer Julie Plec confirmed that characters Damon and Elena will do their best to make it work, which means more scenes together for the real life exes.
Following their break up both actors have been posting cryptic tweets on their individual social media accounts.
The gossip site reported that while the actor has been posting messages about moving on his ex-girlfriend has been ignoring the issue completely. However the former couple did received compliments for not having their friends bad mouth their ex to the media or divulge intimate details about the relationship, i.e. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
Recently it was reported that Somerhalder was spotted getting cozy with his co-star Malese Jow post Nina Dobrev.
Photos posted by the actress displays herself and her hunky vampire friend staring into each other's eyes while another photo shows them smiling and having a good time.
When Dobrev and Somerhalder returns back to "The Vampire Diaries" it will be interesting to see what details will be leaked about on set behavior between the stars while they are filming together.
