Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" just might
finally hear the news they've been waiting for. Analysing all the hints thrown
around here and there by author E.L. James, it's safe to assume that Ian
Somerhalder could be cast as Christian Grey. Here are five hints why the
"Vampire Diaries" star could be starring in the S&M film adaptation.
Universal Studios and Focus Features have
secured the rights to producing E.L. James' erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of
Grey." To date, scriptwriter Kelly Marcel is adding a few finishing touches to
the script. With director Sam Taylor-Johnson having joined the bandwagon last
month, it'll only be a few days more wait before an official cast is
revealed.
The film adaptation is set for release on
August 2014. Numerous casting polls have been up on the web with fans naming
their favourites for the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. The
strongest contenders so far for the role of Grey include Matt Bomer, Henry
Cavill and Ian Somerhalder. On the other hand, favourites for the role of
Anastasia Steele include Alexis Bledel, Emilia Clarke, Felicity Jones and
Melissa Benoist.
However, a few web tabloids claim that a
Hollywood hunk has already nabbed the role judging from the hints here and
there. E.L. James did say that her choices for Christian Grey are down to three
actors of which could possibly include Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries."
