Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder teams up with Noel Clarke for new sci-fi movie, The Anamoly!

It certainly seems that Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder is keeping himself busy following his split with his co-star Nina Dobrev as he has just begun shooting a new movie, directed by recent Star Trek: Into Darkness star, Noel Clarke.
The Anamoly, Noel’s latest directorial project, is set between London and New York and is due to star Somerhalder along with Clarke himself, Brian Cox, Alexis Knapp and Luke Hemsworth, in his very first leading role.Directing the film under his Unstoppable Entertainment banner whose previous credits include Adulthood, 5,4,3,2,1, Clarke will be joined by James Harris and Mark Lane. The film, penned by Simon Lewis, follows the story of a former soldier who finds himself in the back of a van with a kidnapped boy, with no recollection of how he got there, and not much time to figure it out either.Clarke, who is a regular cast member of Neighbours and who is set to star in the new First World War drama, the 34th Battalion, has also just signed up to star in The Habit of Beauty, from directors Enrico Tessarin and Mirko Pinchelli, with shooting set to take place in London and Florence later this year and will be set against the backdrop of the 2011 London Riots.
