Nina Dobrev may have recently split from her Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder, but there's one person who she can always turn to for 'unconditional love' - well, cat.
The show's executive producer revealed earlier this week that Nina and Ian's characters have some romantic scenes ahead of them; information that has sent fans of the series into a frenzy.
And now, as Nina is preparing for a trip away to a mystery location, she has revealed on WhoSay that her gorgeous cat Kid was both helping her pack and appearing to refuse to let her go. Who needs a man when you've got a great cat, eh?
"Kid is helping me pack... Said I should bring my @gentsco hat," she wrote, along with a picture of the feline sitting in her suitcase beside a hat. "I agree bc its awesome+ raises awareness for children w/ Hodgkins lymphoma".
She later posted another snap with the caption: "I think he wants me to bring him too... Won't leave the suitcase! #unconditionallove #reciprocated"
Vampire Diaries' executive producer Julie Plec has teased ahead of the upcoming fifth season that Dobrev and Somerhalder's characters will "try to make it work" by starting a "new relationship". However, it won't be a walk in the park - as there's a "villain in the midst they don't know is a villain at the beginning."
Dobrev and Somerhalder split last month after meeting on the set of the series.
