Her jealousy has most likely spiked when Dobrev and Somerhalder won the 2015 Best Kiss Award in the recent 2015 Teen Choice Awards. However, only Dobrev stepped up the stage to accept the award. According to the report, to prevent a quick Nina Dobrev "The Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder reunion, Nikki Reed has allegedly stopped him from going up the stage.
Rumor has it that the "Twilight" star was only worried that the exes might "recreate the smooch" on-stage, according to The International Business Times. With speculations that it was Reed who prohibited Somerhalder to go up the stage and accept the award with his ex-girlfriend, fans believe that she may also have had something to do with why Dobrev refused to return to "TVD."
Celebrity Dirty Laundry has stated that Dobrev's career had started to go down shortly after she decided to leave "The Vampire Diaries." She may have had some projects, but they were not interesting enough for her fan base. That said, critics are convinced that reprising her role as Elena Gilbert on "The Vampire Diaries" will do her career a lot of good.
