Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley Speak About Vampires

In Mystic Falls, Virginia, a fictional small town haunted and surrounded by supernatural beings, vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and his brother Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) are living, struggling and loving. Actor Ian Somerhalder is from New Orleans. There’s a lot of vampire mystique and mythology that resonates there! Once, he said that he was fascinated by vampires. “I always wanted to play one,” he added. Then, what does he think about vampires?
“Before vampires were aesthetically appealing, they were physical anomalies and ostracized outsiders whom we banished to the dark, and they didn’t have the appeal that they do now.” Ian Somerhalder.

“I think any time anybody sees the bad guy show emotion and you’re not hitting the audience over the head, there’s always a tinge of empathy for that individual.” Paul Wesley.
