"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 will soon be coming to an end.
Even though there are a few more episodes left, a few promotional photos
for the episode have been released. On April 24, TV Fanatic posted the photos for the final episode of the season, titled "Home."
The first photo shows Elena looking shocked at was she is seeing. From her posture, it seems that she could be looking at something on the floor in front of her and she appears to be jumping back a bit from the position of her arms. Another photo shows Elena and Caroline sitting by the fireplace and Stefan is standing with his back to the camera. Whatever they are discussing must be serious based on the looks on their faces. Then another photo shows the two girls talking, except Stefan isn't present and the girls are outdoors.
There are also some shots of Damon and Elena. In one, he is telling her something, but her reaction isn't seen because her back is to the camera. In another, Damon has his hand touching Elena's chin. He almost seems to be comforting her or letting her know that it's going to be okay.
Other photos for "The Vampire Diaries" season 5, episode 22 show Caroline standing outside with a serious and troubled look on her face. The scenery looks the same as the photo of her talking to Elena. What could be on her mind? Also, Tyler is in chains, but another photo shows him without them. Only this time he is screaming in agony, being held back by two people. Several feet away are the sheriff and a man. He looks filled with grief... could someone he cares about die on the season finale?
Finally, there is a photo of Damon sitting on the hood of his car. He is parked at the border of Mystic Falls, in front of the welcome sign. He is holding something, which appears to be a bottle of alcohol, but it's hard to tell for sure. There are also a few photos of Bonnie. In one she is in the woods and the other she is with Damon, both photographs have her with a serious look on her face.
WetPaint posted a few spoilers for "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale. According to the website, executive producer Julie Plec said that the finale two episodes will have a lot of suffering, but will also have celebration. She also revealed that a lot of lives are in danger because of Markos' plan. However, it seems that Damon might end up saving the day because he has to "strap on his hero hair."
Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan on the show, told TV Guide something interesting. His statement seems to imply that when "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 airs that the characters might not only have different circumstances, but there might be a new location. He said,

"[The finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in Season 6. They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."What do you think is going to happen on "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale?
