'Vampire Diaries' Spoilers Season 5: Elena Having Romantic Dreams about Stefan, Synopsis and Promo Video for Episode 18 'Resident Evil' Revealed

The 2014 PaleyFest promo video for the upcoming episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" had the Travellers' leader Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) reveal that he is the reason why doppelgangers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) are drawn to each other. Now, the promo video for Episode 18 titled "Resident Evil" show the connection between the two with Elena having romantic dreams about her ex-boyfriend."Stelena" or Stefan-Elena fans will be pleased to see their favorite couple together again even in dream-type sequences. According to the Enstars report, Elena's romantic visions with Stefan includes flirting in the kitchen, kissing and even kids running around inside their home.
In the promo video, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finds out about Elena's Stefan dreams so an awkward conversation between the two surfaced. "So, having sex dreams about my brother, huh?" Damon asked.
"Wow, yeah, OK. That's one way to change the topic," Elena responded. Actor Paul Wesley shared that his character, Stefan, already accepted the Damon-Elena relationship but he has not totally cut Elena out of his life yet. "There are always residual feelings with anyone that you're ever with romantically," the 31-year-old actor explained to TVLine.
Another couple getting focused in the upcoming episode will be Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen). The "Anchor to the Other Side" is going to be "hurt and angry" at Jeremy in Episode 18 after learning about the hunter's sneaky move of teaming up with witch Liv (Penelope Mitchell).
The synopsis for Episode 18 "Resident" Evil in the Wet Paint report reads: "Bonnie has a disturbing encounter with Grams (guest star Jasmine Guy), who warns her about frightening changes on the Other Side. Enzo gives Damon unwanted relationship advice, then admits he is searching for a woman he loved decades before while he was held captive by the Augustines. Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) enlists Matt, Jeremy and Tyler to help track the Travelers and keep them from taking control of Mystic Falls. Bonnie is hurt and angry when she learns that Jeremy is working with Liv behind her back. Luke (guest star Chris Brochu) shows up at the Salvatore house and explains what he knows about Markos (guest star Raffi Barsoumian) and the Travelers to Damon, Elena and Enzo. Matt has a terrifying encounter with inhabitants of the Other Side. Finally, when Damon finds Markos, he is both relieved and disturbed by what Markos has to tell him."
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 is currently on a long hiatus. Fans will have to patiently wait for the TV series to resume airing on April 17, 2014 at 8 pm ET on the CW Network with the Paul Wesley-directed Episode 18 "Resident Evil."

So, after a fair few months of filming scenes as Damon and Elena (including their doppelgangers), the fifth season of The Vampire Diaries wrapped up filming over the weekend.
With no more scripts to read and no more scenes to prepare for before TVD begins filming for season six, we wonder what Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will be getting up to now that they have some free time.
But if the pair are looking for ideas, they don't need to look any further as we've come up with some novel ways in which the pair can spend their time doing.
NINA DOBREV
Travelling:
We know that Nina is a lady who likes to travel so we reckon it's about time that Nina made her way over to London to take in the sights and sounds of the amazing city (we're not biased - honest). She can go on the London Eye and ride on a red bus...the possibilities are endless. However she doesn't have to stop at just visiting London as the actress can also make a visit to France, Italy, Spain and the rest of Europe!
Filming:
Nina recently appeared in Let's Be Cops but what's stopping the star from making another big screen appearance? We for one would love to see Nina switching up her roles.

'The Vampire Diaries': Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder tease Damon and Elena's 'friends with benefits' experiment and more

Even though Elena and Damon tried to break up at the end of last week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries," it's pretty safe to say that it didn't stick seeing as how the two vampires fell right back into bed with each other the next second. The biggest question on everyone's mind: Is Delena broken up or back together?

Neither, it would seem. That's right, Elena and Damon are going to try being friends with benefits, although "TVD" star Ian Somerhalder doesn't have the highest of hopes for that experiment. "Friends with benefits never ultimately work," Somerhalder tells Zap2it. "They are wonderful for a spell. But hey, you never know."

His co-star Nina Dobrev feels the same way. "Well, we've all seen the movie 'Friends With Benefits' with Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, right?" Dobrev tells Zap2it. "Everyone always goes into that whole arrangement with optimistic views and wanting it to work but it always gets messy. It's hard to just separate sex and emotions. Those just go together."

Complicating matters is the fact that both Damon and Elena are coming down from being infected with the ripper virus, so things won't be normal for a while. "Damon's head is in the clouds. He's going to need an exorbitant amount of booze and a little love to come out of this thing," Somerhalder says. "Damon has these cycles where he goes through these super intense moments. He lives within the confines of the experiences in which he is given. So he's never truly happy."

He continues, "People are never happy in Mystic Falls because then there would be no drama. No drama, no show. So he's just now focused on the next thing. 'How do I protect my girl?' His girl and his brother are the two most important things in his life."

That might be a little difficult to do, however, now that shady siblings Luke and Liv have woven themselves into Elena's life for mysterious purposes. "Elena is definitely going to butt heads with them in ways that are not positive," Dobrev teases. "I can't give away anything. I have to be a little vague there."

And as for Elena's relationship with Jeremy, things are about to take a hard left turn when Jeremy makes a decision that leaves Elena devastated. What's he gotten himself into?

"All I can say is that it's been great to play and watch Elena grow as a character," Dobrev says. "She's had to make a lot of really difficult decisions that have influenced herself and others around her, and now Jeremy is going to have to make one that is similar. So she will be majorly affected by it but because of what she has gone through, she understands, as well. She knows that she has to let him be his own person and make his own decisions because she did the same."

"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Another Car Crash Hits Mystic Falls!

The Vampire Diaries is fond of its car crashes, and they tend to have devastating consequences — especially when it comes to the Gilbert family. It was a car crash that killed Elena’s parents, that killed Elena herself, and that almost killed Jeremy earlier this season. So what is this we hear of another car crash on the TVD horizon?
According to Cov News, the TVD production will soon be staging a car crash scene on the streets of Covington, Georgia (aka the fictional Mystic Falls). There will also be a scene set on the Covington square (aka Mystic Falls town square). Yikes! As glad as we are to spend more time in Mystic Falls, it does tend to lead to death and destruction — in this case, some sort of car crash. We’ll have to wait to find out just how serious this accident is, and who is involved, but we’re raising the Mystic Falls Threat Level to orange.
Is it wrong that, even though it seems the scenario will be dire, we’re glad to hear that we’ll be spending more time in Mystic Falls? The town used to be such a large part of TVD, the locale was almost another character, and we miss hanging with the historically supernatural town. These days, it’s all Salvatore mansion or Whitmore College campus. Don’t get us wrong — we love the Salvatore mansion fireplace (and bedrooms) as much as the next fan — but we miss going to town-wide parties with paper lanterns and mysterious murders. Maybe it’s just us?

Nina Dobrev Reveals the Cold, Hard Truth About That Rainy Delena Scene

For those hoping for a rain-kissed Delena scene, you should probably find another dream. The Vampire Diaries crew took to the PaleyFest stage this past weekend and, amongst many topics, discussed the possibility of a scene featuring Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) in the rain. Spoiler: it’s not very likely.
Apparently, Delena fans have launched an online campaign for a Delena kissing-in-the-rain scene, but Ian and Nina are none too pleased with the idea. When they filmed this Season 1 rainy scene together (sans kissing), it was so cold that Ian’s face muscles kept freezing up and Nina got sick afterwards.
“The last time we were in the rain together, it was below 30 degrees,” Ian explained. “When the rain frames would come down, the water would hit us and we had to cut because my facial muscles would freeze and I literally could not speak. It was as if I had Bell’s palsy.”
Nina felt so strongly about never filming a rainy scene again, that she actually sent Julie an email after the fact, requesting that if they were to film a similar scene again, her boss would be there as well, and in the same type of costume. Now, when we watch the Season 1 scene, we know that Nina and Ian didn’t have to fake Elena and Damon’s agony over failing to rescue a kidnapped Stefan — their suffering was real.

Huge 'The Vampire Diaries' season 5 spoilers: Someone you love is going to die

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 is coming to an end and new spoilers are out. On March 25, Wet Paint shared spoilers from executive producer Julie Plec and someone that fans really care about is not going to make it through the entire season.
She says that when we get to the finale you will see some deaths that are done. These are going to be people that everyone cares about and they do not come back to life this time. This has happened in the past on this show, but a lot of times they do return. Jeremy Gilbert has died more times than viewers can count.
It does sound like this could mean that the characters that are on the other side are going away for good. Those that are already dead will not return the way that they have been. It could also mean someone important dies and is gone for good. You never know with "TVD."
Don't miss new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" on Thursday nights on the CW.

TVD moments

The Vampire Diaries: It was quite a lovely episode for all the Steroline shippers out there! After Caroline and Enzo found Tom, Stefan's equally handsome doppelganger, the former Miss Mystic Falls was ready to let the EMT live a long and happy life, but Enzo stuck with the plan and snapped his neck. Aww, man! Caroline reunited with her SHBFF (super hot best friend forever) and the two of them cuddled in a mini van while the Travelers performed a mega-mass suicide. (It was a lot more romantic then it sounds, we swear!)
The Travelers used their intensely wicked powers and multiple murders to bring back their leader, Markos, through Bonnie from the other side. Meanwhile, Jeremy decided to move out of Casa Salvatore and into Matt and Tyler's place. BRB, we're about to by the house next door. And Elena? Liv tried to kill her! It turns out that Live and Luke are part of a group of witches and they are looking to stir up some serious trouble!

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 5, episode 17 recap: Another doppelganger bites the dust in 'Rescue Me'

Yes, "The Vampire Diaries" said goodbye to yet another doppelganger on Thursday (March 27), as Tom Avery, an Atlanta EMT with some questionable hair and who looks exactly like Paul Wesley, was unceremoniously killed in a deal made with the Travelers. So did Caroline really kill an innocent, nice guy to save Stefan's mind and memories? Read on for the recap of "Rescue Me" ...

Even after Caroline made Sloan promise to stop "psychically doppel-bombing" poor Tom Avery through Stefan to save Stefan from being memory robbed again, she keeps on keeping on, searching for more information that could help Caroline and Enzo find the guy -- while on what's got to be one of the most awkward road trips ever. They've been searching all around Atlanta with no luck, so Sloan continues to go deeper into the connection and sees that he works at Atlanta Metropolitan Hospital. Caroline seems confident in her ability to kill Tom, even going so far as to get Enzo to call her a "pearly blonde angel of death." Of course, everyone's got their doubts that Caroline can actually go through with it, but she knows it's the only way to save her friend. So off to the hospital they go.

When Caroline and Enzo get there, they find out from a doctor that Tom -- one of the best, nicest, most talented EMTs he's ever worked with -- disappeared four months ago and no one's heard from him since. That's all it takes to convince Sloan to dig deeper into Stefan's mind more, and in an extremely, surprisingly powerful scene, Caroline talks him through the pain over the phone. Watching her suffer empathetic, emotional pain over hearing Stefan go through physical, psychic pain was so touching, and for a moment, it was believable that Caroline would actually kill an innocent person to save him. They have one of the strongest friendships on this show, and to think, at the beginning they didn't even know each other
Sloan's psychic probing uncovers a memory -- seems like there's a delay on the doppelganger frequency by about four months, huh? -- where a girl named Hazel asks Tom out to dinner as a thank you for saving her friend's life earlier that day. He agrees to meet her at her house, and Stefan relays the address Hazel tells Tom to Caroline and Enzo. They arrive at the house, notice a ton of mail piled up, and force the door open. They see Hazel -- a witch! -- kneeling on the floor in some kind of a spell/trance, and Enzo breaks off the doorknob and throws it straight at her head, killing her.

Caroline's pissed off that he would just murder someone, but he's got a point: They can now enter the house since the owner is dead, and they're one step closer to accomplishing the goal they promised they would achieve. Anyone else get the feeling that while Caroline might not have the wherewithal to go through with killing Tom, Enzo would be more than happy to take up the charge? Tom's odds are going down, and fast.

Back in Mystic Falls, Elena wakes up in Damon's bed after their night of break up sex. In the grand old tradition of the walk of shame, she tries sneaking out of the room without waking up Damon, but hey ... he's a vampire. That's kind of impossible. Plus, it turns out he's been awake for three hours and was just enjoying lounging naked in bed with Elena. She tells him that the last night was a mistake, and Damon being Damon, he suggest that they keep "making mistakes." Employing some serious will power that not many women would have in that situation, Elena declines. "Your loss. I make one hell of a naked breakfast," Damon tells her, standing naked in all his glory as she runs out of the room.

Elena then heads to the high school for Jeremy's parent-teacher conference, and while she waits in line she calls up Bonnie for a little girl talk. Bonnie's chilling in their dorm and sees Luke, and tells Elena that she wants to get to know Katherine's BFF to find out what he knows and if they can trust him. Plus, she thinks he's a suitable guy for Elena to date now that she's "broken up" with Damon. But as we all know, Elena tells Bonnie that Damon is more Luke's type. "That'd be cute too," she quips. Yes, yes it would, Bonnie.

But the mood of their fun phone call gets ruined when Elena tells Bonnie that Jeremy didn't sleep at the Salvatore house last night. Since he wasn't with Bonnie, where was he? Everyone's thinking it: He's cheating again. That seems especially likely when Damon, Matt and Tyler see Jeremy meeting Liv for a bottle of gin at the Mystic Grill that morning. What are they up to?

It's not what everyone thinks, though. No hanky-panky going on here. Liv does a silence spell to ward off Tyler's hybrid eavesdropping, and then warns Jeremy that all the witches are talking about how the Travelers are heading to Mystic Falls for something to do with Elena. In Liv's own words, the world literally revolves around her for something. LOL. Welcome to "TVD," right?

When Elena tries to check in as Jeremy's guardian, she's in for a rude awakening, since she's not listed as his primary contact. That would be ... Damon. Cue: Damon walking up, plopping himself down right next to Elena, ready for a day of fake-co-parenting with his now-ex. Awwwwwkward.

The day is made even worse by a super judgey counselor, who can tell that things aren't exactly what you'd call "stable" in the Gilbert/Salvatore household. She tells Elena and Damon that Jeremy is skipping school, failing classes, starting fights (duh), and even has been caught cheating twice in math. He needs a more stable home situation, which is kind of hard when your sister's a vampire, you're living in the mansion of her two ex-boyfriends who are brothers and also vampires, and you're a supernaturally gifted vampire hunter with a half-alive, half-dead girlfriend who acts as the anchor to The Other Side. Oh, and you're constantly fighting to save everyone's lives, because this is Mystic Falls. Yikes.

Back at the Whitmore dorm, Bonnie tries to play things cool with Luke to find out what his deal is. But his whole cover is blown wide open when Hazel's ghost shows up to pass through Bonnie, and gives her a message to tell Luke of all people: She failed to conceal the doppelganger and the Travelers are coming. Hazel passes through Bonnie, and Luke's got some major explaining to do. He tells Bonnie that he and Liv are twins and witches, and they're basically trying to stop the Travelers from doing something. He texts Liv -- still at the Mystic Grill with Jeremy -- about what Hazel said, and she tells Jeremy she's moving on to Plan B. Having Jeremy protect Elena was Plan A, so what does Plan B entail?

Back at the school, Elena tells Damon that the judgey counselor was right: Their situation isn't stable. She tries to end things again, but he pushes her up against a locker and gives the single most sexy speech in the history of "TVD." Like, seriously, whoa. HOT. We're not even going to write down any of it here because it's way too sexy to be repeated. BRB, fanning ourselves. We don't even judge Elena for daydreaming during the chemistry teacher's speech about the students because yeah, Damon's chemistry is way more interesting. When she leaves the classroom to get some air (in the wood shop of all places?), Liv randomly shows up and attacks her with her full-on witch power. Liv tells Elena that she'll make the Travelers too powerful now that Luke "failed to keep her safe" (by keeping Tom hidden), and almost stakes Elena with a piece of wood, but Damon knocks Liv out. He tortures her, and she reveals what we already know: If there is only one Elena doppelganger and one Stefan doppelganger alive in the world, the Travelers will come to Mystic Falls to use Elena for ... something, and the witches can't let that happen. But Damon says that he can't let Liv kill Elena, and almost kills her, but Jeremy runs in and stops him.

Back in Atlanta, as they're walking through the now-dead Hazel's house to see what she was up to, Caroline figures out that four months ago, Tom was hidden as soon as Silas died, meaning the witches knew that Tom was the only doppelganger left standing in the way of what the Travelers want. Caroline and Enzo find Tom under sedation in the basement, and she wakes him up, knocks Enzo out, and tells Tom that she's going to save him. Uh oh ...

Predictably, Caroline doesn't go through with killing Tom. Instead, she takes him out for a hearty brunch and compels him to tell her his life story. She wants to see what kind of person he is, and she says Tom is one of the nicest people she's ever met in her life. She can't kill him now. She compels him to get on a train, leave town, meet a pretty girl and settle down for a nice, long, happy life. But before he can ride off into the sunset, Enzo finds them and kills him. Turns out, Enzo also cut a deal with the Travelers, since they told him they know where his Augustine love Maggie is. If he kills Tom, they'll tell him where to find her. So Tom was doomed from the start. Enzo tells Caroline that for the sake of her friendship with Stefan, she can take credit for killing Tom to save Stefan, and they part ways.

Back at the high school, Jeremy yells at Damon and Elena for trying to kill Liv, and they try to tell him that they know what's best for him, like doing better in school. But Jeremy rightfully explains that he's doing poorly in school because he can't care about classes and homework when he's constantly fighting to save everyone's lives. He says he can make his own decisions, and they need to trust him. He promises that he can get Liv and Luke to save Elena, not kill her, and Elena realizes that she needs to trust him like he's always trusted her.

Jeremy get Luke and Liv to team up with him to thwart whatever the Travelers are planning, and they agree to work together because they know that Jeremy's hunter skills are a huge asset. He also enlists Matt and Tyler too, and they all form some kind of a dream team that we never knew we wanted and yet all of a sudden cannot live without. Instantly on board with this. Also, Jeremy moves out of the Salvatore mansion and into Matt and Tyler's house, and seriously, we are ON BOARD WITH THIS. Can we go live with these three? A human, a hunter, and a hybrid, all with bartending experience? This is going to be one big rager like 27/7.

After Jeremy leaves the mansion, Damon and Elena finally have that adult conversation they've been avoiding for a long time. They keep doing bad things to each other and for each other and with each other, because they don't work together. Even though they clearly love each other and want each other, they can't be with each other. Quick, say "each other" five more times fast! All jokes aside, Elena tells Damon that she has to leave for her dorm on her own, since she knows if Damon drives her they'll just end up back in bed together. She says he has to let her go for real, and in a surprisingly mature move, he does. He kisses her on the forehead and leaves. This is it ... the real, official end of Delena.
Caroline makes her way back to the Travelers camp, and tells Stefan that Tom is dead, but confesses that she couldn't go through with it. Enzo made the actual final move. She apologizes, knowing that she just admitted she couldn't kill even to save his life, but Stefan reminds her that she could have, but she chose not to, and that's because she's a good person. He also knew all along she wouldn't do it, because that's how good of friends they are. They share one of the sweetest friend snuggles in the history of ever, and is it wrong to want to slide on in between them to join in on the platonic and in no way romantic friend snuggle? Because that looks mighty comfy, just sayin'.

Their Steroline snuggle sesh is ruined, though, when the Travelers make their move. Sloan has all the Travelers drink the mixture of Stefan and Elena's blood, and then lights them all on fire while they chant and scream horribly, suffering slow and agonizing deaths by being burnt alive. Caroline and Stefan watch on in horror, and then vamp-speed away. All the Travelers then materialize next to Bonnie to pass through her all at once, and she passes out from the sudden onslaught of pain. Her shadow then pulls itself away from her unconscious body, forming a figure that gets up and walks away. Meet Markos, the leader of the Travelers.

Where did he come from? Was he on The Other Side, and the Travelers mass sacrifice gave him the power he needed to come back? Or was he on The Dark Side, and that's why he needed the group suicide to come back? Or was he somewhere else entirely? And what are his plans? If Elena and Stefan's blood was used to call him forth, what else does he need with them? So many questions!

What did you think of "Rescue Me?" How adorable was Tom, and how sad was it to see him die so suddenly and so soon after meeting him? How sweet was the Steroline cuddle sesh? How freaking epic will the Jeremy/Tyler/Matt trio be? Let us know in the comments!

"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

The Vampire Diaries Review: War of the Witches

If I were Damon and Elena, I really wouldn't mind breaking up everyday as long as it leads to that steaminess.
However, The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 17 didn't entirely revolve around our resident are they/aren't they couple.
Unfortunately, it was largely focused on the mumbo jumbo of the Travelers.
(NOTE: I say unfortunately not because I love the whole love triangle, but because I just dislike the travelers that much.)

In a continuation of what we learned on The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 16, Caroline and Enzo had to kill Stefan's doppelganger to make things right with the travelers; it's what they agreed to when they got the crazy cures from them.
Did anyone think Caroline was going to be able to kill sweet and innocent Tom? Sure, Caroline can fight, but she's also compassionate - and once she met that supposedly kind paramedic there was no way she'd be able to go through with it. It meant saving Stefan, though, so that's what tripped me up.
Nevermind that because Enzo was there to save the day and snap some necks. Caroline wasn't the "perky blonde angel of death" he predicted her as after all.
So this where things got interesting. Tom had fallen off the map for four months because, as the last doppelganger (once Silas crossed over), he was needed by the Travelers. The witches were hiding him.
Apparently Stefan and Elena are the only ones who can be alive. I mean, duh, it's Elena, the world does revolve around her!

Turns out Elena's friends were right. The world does revolve around her
Good one, Liv. So the Travelers are apparently "the ugly stepsister" of witches. I can see that, considering how much they have pissed me off since they joined the show. They are annoying, they chant in unison and quite frankly I do not enjoy their storyline whatsoever. Need a reason? Here's one word: doppelganger.
More Traveler business means more doppelganger business and I think we as a collective audience are ready to move on from all that jazz.
Smartly enough, Liv thought to go to Jeremy with this information. Jeremy is underused. Plus, he was able to formulate his own scheme and be the man with a plan for once. It's not like he has to worry about keeping up good grades anyway.

How do you expect me to care about when this is my life? Take a look around, it's not like I could bring my teachers a note saying "sorry i missed class today we were under a doppleganger invasion."

'The Vampire Diaries': New big bad will steal focus from Damon's drama

Damon Salvatore will be at the center of some major drama on "The Vampire Diaries" later tonight. The vampire will need to figure out how to handle the latest mess he has made involving Elena Gilbert. On March 26, Spoilers Guide shared two sneak peeks for tonight's episode, "The Vampire Diaries" episode 5x17 titled "Rescue Me." Ian Somerhalder is featured in both of the clips.
The first sneak peek shows Elena and Damon in a classroom waiting on a meeting on Jeremy. Elena isn't sure why Damon is there, and it leads to an interesting conversation about the night they spent together following their break up. The pair had a hot moment together, and Elena now feels uncomfortable.
The second sneak peek shows Damon drowning his sorrows in alcohol at the Mystic Grill. Tyler and Matt poke at him a bit, and he gives a bit too much information about his night with Elena. He can't talk to Stefan about it after all. That conversation would be even more awkward than the talk he had with Elena about it.
There will be more to the episode than Damon and Elena's current mess though, according to Latino Post. Fans will meet the new big bad. Markos will finally be revealed. He is the leader of the the travelers, and he has been teased as the new villain for weeks now. Fans will finally get to see him when Stefan is held hostage by the group.
What do you think? Are you tired of the Damon and Elena drama yet?

'The Vampire Diaries' recap: Rescue Me

As Caroline and Enzo deal with the doppelgänger, the Travelers make a bold move and Elena and Damon come to a new understanding
Ep. 17 | Aired Mar 27, 2014 It was a big episode for Steroline fans -- and for clunkily maneuvering to make Jeremy, Matt, and Tyler a real part of the show again. (Sorry, Bon Bon. Still not convinced they know what to do with you.) Let's dig in.
We opened with Sloan pressuring Stefan to focus on his connection to doppelgänger Tom Avery so he could tell them where to find him: The Atlanta Metropolitan Hospital, where he just helped save a woman's life by being a badass EMT.
In the morning, Elena thought she could creep out of bed and get dressed for Jeremy's noon parent-teacher conference without Damon's vampire hearing being alerted. Could they have put that sheet any lower on Ian Somerhalder's naked body without setting off a network censor? For the record, I only freeze-framed on that shot to confirm the answer is, in fact, no. Equal opportunity objectification: Nina Dobrev also looked ridiculously sexy in this scene, so you can't blame Damon for wanting to make another "big" mistake or naked breakfast. Somehow she resisted.
Speaking of food, Caroline and Enzo were at an Atlanta diner when they got the call from Sloan with the doppelgänger's name and whereabouts. Caroline was not happy that Sloan was still using Stefan to "doppelbomb" Tom and threatened to kill her, too, which Enzo almost bought. Seeing the Travelers carry Stefan off on a stretcher? Not pleasant. But nice to see Paul Wesley getting to relax on set.
Damon went to the Grill to get wasted and to use bartender Matt and I'm-too-young-to-cook-for-myself Tyler as his amateur shrinks. He couldn't talk to Stefan about Elena because it's tough to tell someone that you just broke up with the former love of his life and then broke the bed. I first thought it was odd that Damon would even sit near those two, but the Grill has always been his watering hole (and the show's go-to set), so just go with it. Really, he was there to see Liv buy a bottle of booze and then sit down for a chat with Jeremy.
While waiting in line to talk to the guidance counselor at Mystic Falls High, Elena phoned Bonnie and updated her on the break-up and sex with Damon. Bonnie was more concerned with the fact that no one knew where Jeremy had spent the night. Luke made his entrance to study near Bonnie. While Bonnie thought about hooking him up with Elena (or Damon, rather), Elena was joined by Damon, who was listed as Jeremy's primary contact.

‘Vampire Diaries’: Travelers’ Plans To Capture Elena Revealed

Doppelgängers and Travels and witches, oh my! What happened to the days where ‘Vampire Diaries’ was all vamps? Those are no longer.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) woke up thinking the toughest part of their day would be getting over that morning-after-hooking-up awkwardness, but that was only the beginning. Not only did Elena have a near-death experience thanks to Liv (Penelope Mitchell), she was about to come head to head with the leader of the Travelers — meet Markos (Raffi Barsoumian).

Liv & Luke: What Do They Want With Elena?

After their hot hookup, Elena and Damon head to an uncomfortable parent-teacher conference for Jeremy (Steven McQueen), which couldn’t have been anymore awkward. Through their sexual tension — yes, he pushed her up against the lockers and she imagined them going at it on a teacher’s desk — it was drawn to their attention that Jeremy needed a new, calmer life.
And apparently so did they — the conference was interrupted by Liv (Penelope Mitchell) trying to put a wooden stake through Elena’s heart. Luckily, Damon saves the day just in time again and Liv is forced to clear the air on what’s going on with the witches-vs-Travelers thing: Elena is the last female doppelgänger and the Travelers want control over her, as do the witches. So, in Damon’s mind the only understandable solution is to kill Liv, but Jeremy’s not about to let that happen. Ugh.

While I was pissed that he was interested in Liv, it’s actually just to protect Elena. He decides to propose a deal to Liv and her brother (Chris Brochu) – he’ll help with the Travelers if they protect Elena — with the help of Tyler and Matt, of course. Now that’s a team we want to hang with.
It won’t be tough for Luke to protect Elena, since she decides to officially move out of Damon’s house and move back to Whitmore, to finally say goodbye to him. She makes it pretty clear she doesn’t want to end it, but knows she has to, and he accepts, sealing it with a romantic kiss on the forehead like a gentleman. Eh, we prefer the up-against-the-locker Damon.
