If you’ve always dreamed of sending The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) a handwritten love letter professing your feelings for his piercing blue eyes — well, he’s no longer accepting snail mail. Sorry! But he did tweet an email address where fans can send him all their notes. Hey, maybe you can email a scanned copy of that letter as an attachment?
Today, Ian tweeted that he wanted to find a way to connect with his fans, but “written mail is too hard to keep up with and a DRAIN on our earth's resources.” Always thinking of the environment that one! Instead, Ian suggested, “Email me IanSomerhalderFanMail@gmail.com and I'll do my best to read as many as possible,write back whenever I can & possibly surprise you;).”
So we guess we’ll never get another picture of Ian sleeping on an overflowing pile of his fan mail? Still, it’s so sweet of him to set up an email account where fans can reach him. However, we can tell that inbox will fill up fast. He recently tweeted a photo of the 23,664 unread emails he had waiting for him when he got back from London.
