We love Ian, but he often seems to be living under a sizeable rock. Just recently he tweeted that he didn’t even know he was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards until days later. We know you’re busy Ian, but don’t you ever read the news?
So how did Ian find out about the arrest of Shannon Guess, who once played a student in an episode of The Vampire Diaries? Well, it seems he discovered this hot story when he saw his own face plastered on the front of the New York Face with the woman in question and the headline: “Actress busted for Mike, Bam ricin mail — VAMPIRE’S POISON!”
Ian was so shocked by the photo cover, he posted it on Instagram with the caption, “B-WTF?! Have I been living under a rock? How am I just finding out this is real??? Is this real? Insane! Thanks for using MY Photo NY Post, couldn’t you have used a werewolf or something?! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! Mayor Bloomberg and President Obama are my friends... professionalism!! xxx”
Seriously, we have to agree with Ian, using his photo with this bit part actress to sell a headline was a cheap blow. The Vampire Diaries star probably just posed for the pic as a nice favor to a bit part actress who wanted a souvenir from being on the show. Not nice NY Post!
