'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: E.L. James 'Sniffs' Christian Grey

Leave it to E.L. James to keep her fans hooked on the casting news for "Fifty Shades of Grey." As of late, the author of the best-selling erotica novels has relied on Twitter for casting updates. In fact, James' latest tweet about "sniffing" Christian Grey has got fans in frenzy.
Universal Studios and Focus Features are yet to announce an official cast for "Fifty Shades of Grey." In fact, auditions have yet to be held with the script still currently being rewritten by Kelly Marcel. On the other hand, E.L. James is keeping her fans updated by her random and not to mention mysterious tweets about Christian Grey on Twitter.
With hundreds of celebrities named as potential stars for the lead roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, it's impossible to keep track of whom James is pertaining to. For the role of Anastasia Steele, two strong contenders for the part are Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" and Alexis Bledel of "Mad Men."
Currently on the top of web polls for Christian is Ian Somerhalder of "Vampire Diaries." Following close is Matt Bomer of "White Collar" and Henry Cavill of "Man of Steel." However, fans greatly think that the role has already been given out without an official announcement.
"Mmm .... Loving the scent of Christian Grey ...." stated James on her Twitter account.
James' tweet could definitely mean an actor has already been cast. Fans of course had pointed out that it could be Ian Somerhalder given the actor is busy filming a movie in London. "Fifty" fans would also know that the film is set to be shot in London as well. This could be purely coincidence but judging from James' and Somerhalders' tweets, the possibility is high.
With the film set for a summer 2014 release, casting and filming should have already begun. Fans of the film have been quite busy doling out their support for their favourites. With new names added each day, it'll be hard to keep track which are rumours and which are for real.
Everyone should simply keep tuned and watch out for E.L. James next tweets. By then, James' would "sniff" out a name for the lead roles.
